Reconstructive Lessons in Breast and Hand Reconstruction - What We've Learned | Featuring Europe (UK, Italy, Ireland) | Global Partners Webinar Series
Description
In this ASPS Global Partners Webinar, international leaders from IAPS (Ireland), BAPRAS (UK), and SICPRE (Italy) share surgical insights and evidence-informed reflections on reconstructive challenges. Dr. Seán Carroll draws on a career spanning more than 2,500 cases of Dupuytren’s disease to highlight best practices and lessons learned in hand reconstruction. Dr. Ruth Waters presents a framework for shared decision-making in breast reconstruction, addressing both patient-centered benefits and real-world limitations. Dr. Marzia Salgarello explores advanced approaches to autologous breast reconstruction using lateral thoracic perforator flaps—featuring the use of ultrasound-guided planning to improve safety and efficiency. This session emphasizes surgical evolution, personalized care, and collaborative learning.

Intended Audience
Plastic and reconstructive surgeons, breast and hand surgery specialists, microsurgeons, surgical trainees, and providers seeking to expand their understanding of technique refinements and patient engagement in reconstructive care.
