This Quick Hit provides practical insights into current approaches to breast explantation surgery, with an emphasis on surgical decision-making, aesthetic outcomes, and individualized treatment planning. Drawing from selected content originally presented at Plastic Surgery The Meeting 2024, experienced plastic surgeons share focused takeaways and technical pearls related to breast capsule management, surgical approach options, and revision strategies. The activity also highlights techniques for utilizing remaining breast tissue to restore natural contour, shape, and projection following explantation. Tailored for plastic surgeons, residents, and para-medical professionals, this Quick Hit highlights treatment considerations, procedural approaches, and strategies for optimizing aesthetic outcomes in breast explantation surgery.

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) accredits ASPS to provide educational activities and material with Category 1 CME credits.
