SNIPS is a new kind of educational course, cutting directly to the information you need to know in a short, visual format. Developed directly from content performance deficiencies from recent ABPS Continuous Certification Exams, these streamlined learning modules feature quick, easily digestible videos on important topics your peers struggled with last year.  This course focuses on important topics, in a short, visual Q&A format.

In this course, you will learn about:

  • Nasal Fracture Reduction and Secondary Deformity
  • Facial Nerve Injury in Skull Base Trauma
  • Zygomatic Fracture Management
  • Mandibular Fractures and Third Molar Management
  • Post-Traumatic Enophthalmos and Restrictive Strabismus
Intended Audience
This educational activity is intended for all CME-related persons including plastic surgery practitioners, residents, and other healthcare professionals.

Learning Objectives

  1. Nasal Fracture Reduction and Secondary Deformity: Determine appropriate primary and secondary management of nasal fractures based on fracture pattern, septal injury, and persistent functional or aesthetic deformity.
  2. Facial Nerve Injury in Skull Base Trauma: Evaluate traumatic facial nerve injury and select appropriate diagnostic, protective, medical, or surgical management based on clinical presentation and prognostic findings.
  3. Zygomatic Fracture Management: Determine operative versus nonoperative management of zygomatic and midface fractures based on clinical examination, imaging findings, and associated injuries.
  4. Mandibular Fractures and Third Molar Management: Select appropriate treatment and fixation strategies for mandibular fractures, including decisions regarding retention or removal of teeth within the fracture line.
  5. Post-Traumatic Enophthalmos and Restrictive Strabismus: Evaluate persistent enophthalmos and diplopia after orbital trauma and determine the appropriate sequence of orbital revision and strabismus management.
