Hi, I'm Dr. Meaghan Gruber at Gruber Plastic Surgery in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Today I'm going to show you a liposuction-assisted awake body lift. Okay, today we are doing the awake body lift. So here we have her back, and I'm just dissecting the posterior flaps, right? Can you wave for us? There you go. There you go. Okay, so she, how you doing under there? Good. Okay, so I don't know if you can see this, but, pull down here, let's see, can you see the dissection here? Yep. Okay, so basically lipo has dissected it for us, and there's just tiny amounts of bleeding, really for a posterior body lift, very little blood loss at all, and I'm not using a bovie. Okay, so we're going to dry it up, rinse, and then we'll show you partial closure. Okay. Okay, so the deep fascial sutures are in, and now I'm just doing the dermal suturing. How'd you do with that? How'd you do so far? Very comfortable. Comfortable? Good. What's worse, the lipo or the tuck? The lipo. The lipo's harder than the tuck. Okay, so we finished the procedure. Posterior body lift and now we're turning her over. You can see we're ending right here and we're gonna do the tummy tuck How are you doing? Here you can see the nice dissection that the liposuction does for you Which allows you to just really painlessly come through So again, you can see that the point of dissection is sort of already out from the lipo and you can see it
